Lemonade stand

The girls wanted to raise money and give it to church for clean water in Africa.  Our church has adopted a village and is putting in some wells.  So…they planned a lemonade stand, made flyers for it, and everything.  I think we were out there about an hour and they made $20…which is a lot for them!

Flyer McKenna made and passed out at school:

hope it’s okay that we totally stole your lemonade idea to make money for “shoes for orphan souls”. Instead of running out and buying the shoes like we do each year, I had Darby open up her lemonade stand again and make the money herself. She and our neighbor have had a stand on a weeky basis this summer and it has gone great. They are getting rich..no, just kidding. I think the neighbors are starting to take a different route home from work each week so they can avoid the dancing girls waving a poster! Anyway, she and Junka, the little girl who goes to GA’s with her, did the stand last Sun and made enough to get someone a great pair of shoes in time for the Shoes for Orphan Souls shoe drive at GA’s. I think they get a badge for it so they are doubly excited! They have a “choose your price” policy and people give them all sorts of money! Darby went to the GA lock-in last weekend without me, and she talked about how much she missed you guys being there.
